WatchWatch
Thought I’d share a cute video of Sapphire who recently learned the “toy toy” command and would immediately run to search for her toy, sprint back to us with it, play fetch and then catch, making you chase after her for the toy even though she obviously wants to play! She’s so active and healthy right now so we’re really really relieved! Part of the reason why...

Dim Sum at Yan Ting, St Regis Hotel
I’m terrible at updating this space! Really wanted to update before flying off on a trip with the bf two weeks back but couldn’t find time as I had to rush a couple of launches, pack all parcels, tie up all loose ends before I could go on the trip at ease! More on our trip soon! Didn’t take much photos but we had a handful of adventures of our own...

Flea Snaps
The Label Junkie was invited by NUS Business School to take part in a fashion week bazaar and to showcase our outfits in a fashion show held at NUS Central Forum! It was the very first time TLJ has a flea booth and it was fun! Spent a lot of time and effort to prepare for the bazaar, from ironing all the clothes, to stock taking, to packing, to lugging everything...

The Label Junkie Pics
I’ve been meaning to change The Label Junkie site’s main banners for a long time. I get sick of things pretty quickly and with CNY long over, it was definitely time to the previous banners down! Been trying to find time for an outdoor shoot to fill the site with pretty pics once again, but I’ve been so busy lately, hopefully this simple series of photos suffice! Pieces...

A Simple Valentine
The bf and I don’t really celebrate special occasions like valentine’s day or Christmas. We aren’t that great with presents too. The only gifts we get for one another are for birthdays. So for valentine’s day this year, we had a simple dinner at PS Cafe at Palais Renaissance. It was a really pretty place, great ambiance and very yummy food! You probably...

Brunch at Arbite
Brunch with the girls at Arbite a few weeks back! Looking at these pictures just made my mouth water! Haha, if you ever go there, the eggs benedict are a must! They’re so yummy! The breakfast set and caramel banana pancakes are okay, nothing extra special but still pretty decent! Plus the food and beverages there are pretty cheap as well! Surprisingly, it wasn’t...

CNY Day 1
Had so much fun on the first day of CNY! We ladies were coincidentally dressed in pink for CNY! After the routine family photo takes, we visited dad’s side of the family before heading to JB to visit mum’s side! The cousins and I used to play fireworks and firecrackers every CNY in JB when we were young! We’ve since stopped a few years back after...

Brunch at Ardent Cafe
Haven’t updated for a long time. I’ve been really really busy with the store, packing and stock taking, spring cleaning, launching CNY orient collections, flea market planning. I’ve been so exhausted I actually concussed for an hour upon reaching home today b4 finally pulling myself out of bed to continue with work! With the new year, I resolute to not slack off...

TLJ CNY Photoshoot
Can you believe I actually scrambled around my house and gathered anything RED to be used as props for our CNY shoot in just 10 mins!?! LOL, literally grabbed the vase of flowers off our shelf, unhooked the pineapple deco that was still hanged up, and almost tore down a super huge CNY poster. Haha, yes, they were all leftovers from last CNY and we haven’t even kept them yet! Lugged...

'Tis the season to be jolly, falalalala lalalala
Spent the favorite holiday season of the year at two cosy house parties! On the eve, together with the bf and his brothers we whipped up a pretty delicious meal! Albeit simple, but at least we didn’t rely on the microwave and it was surprisingly good! Rest of the day was spent playing Cluedo and SC2. What else to do at the geek house! And on the 25th, the...

Brunch at eM by the River
Sorry for the long overdue update! Haven’t had the time as I was in BKK the past week after chancing upon a super good deal from SQ, only $188!! Despite the flood and epidemic warnings, I knew I HAD to go! For those contemplating to go, you should! There’s not a single drop of water at the touristy shopping area. Both Chatuchak and Chinatown are fine and are open for...

Picnic at the Botanic Gardens
Two saturdays back, it was a really hot afternoon when we left the house for some picnic shopping. I remember thinking that it was too hot for a picnic, totally gonna faint from the heat! Lo and behold, right as we stepped foot into the botanic gardens, we heard thunder!!! -_- Really?! Despite the warning from the skies, we hastened our footsteps, found a nice area and set...

Railay Beach, Krabi
\ Continuing my previous post on krabi, after phrah nang beach on day one, we took a boat short ride to Railay beach just next door as it was separated by a series of limestone walls! We weren’t that amazed at Railay as Phrah Nang was so much prettier! However, the sunset view was gorgeous so we chilled on the beach and then entertained ourselves...

Brunch at Barracks Cafe @ House Dempsey
Had brunch with the girlfriends one weekend at Barracks Cafe and we all agreed the high tea buffet is so much more worth it! Nonetheless, the 7 layer pancakes was awesome, packed with nuts, cranberries, blueberries, blackberries and loads of maple syrup, it was yummy but extremely sinful! We also ordered the smoked turkey swiss skinny pizza as the smoked turkey canapes...

Halloween at Sentosa Spooktacular
The saturday before halloween, we had brunch at Prive before heading to Sentosa Spooktacular! It was a pretty blah event, thank goodness we only bought the 3 trails ticket because we spent so much time queueing up to enter the different fright stations that we were done just before it was closed! Wonder how the 6 trails tickets holder managed to finish it! Well it was fun...

Phrah Nang Beach, Krabi
They say Phrah Nang Beach is the nicest beach on Krabi itself, and I’ve to agree! With limestone cliffs surrounding the entire beach, it feels so secluded like a beach paradise on its own. Also, I think not a lot of tourists know about this beach which made it even more awesome! We spent about 10-15 minutes walking from one end of the beach to the other in...

Day 1 - Off to Phrah Nang Beach!
After reaching our hotel,  we were so exhausted from the lack of sleep that we decided to take a 1 hour nap which ended up being 3 hours! It always happens but we never seem to learn our lesson! So anyway, we hurriedly got ready and went to have lunch at the roadside stalls near our hotel! This was simply divine! You’re supposed to pour sugar in between the coconut filled kueh...

Snippets of last week
Oh how I love birthdays. Its a convenient excuse to jet off on a holiday yet again, splurge on unnecessary luxury and yet not feel a tinge of remorse! Enjoyed my birthday week thoroughly with a getaway to Krabi & the Phi Phi islands as well as a stay-cation at the luxurious Marina Bay Sands with my favorite people! So here’s some snippets of Krabi, I swear the whole...

Brunch at Antoinette @ Mandarin Gallery
Few weekends ago, I had brunch with the girlfriends at Antoinette @ Mandarin Gallery! Was very much disappointed by the food. The Antoinette’s breakfast set was kinda worth it, comes with 3 pieces of bread & a drink on top of the main course for just $20, but it was average at best. The pancakes were absolutely terrible but the Scrambled Egg Gratin was...

H&M Loots & Wants
So.. yes yes, H&M finally made it to Singapore. Mum and I made an impulsive trip there today and was traumatized by the crowd, the long Qs for fitting room and the cashier. We both bought quite a number of stuff and spent about $200 altogether, eeks! Nonetheless, I thought the prices were pretty reasonable, you can probably find pretty stuff that aren’t too expensive, but not...

Brunch at Cafe Epicurious last weekend
I know, I last said to update with pretty photos from Hokkaido, but after transferring 3200+ photos, it was such a chore to sort through. But I’ll get to it because the japan photos are sooo awesome! :) After the trip, I was really sick of japanese food and craved my favorite meal of the day - brunch. So the bf and I headed to Cafe Epicurious which boasted the...

Brunch at The Garden Slug
One weekend, I was craving for brunch super badly and there were less than a handful of brunch places near my place in the east. So we settled for The Garden Slug which serves All Day Breakfast at Telok Kurau road hidden amidst the terrace houses! I thought the breakfast set with the usuals, sausage, scramble eggs and toast was average, but the salmon with runny scrambled eggs was...

last sunday at strictly pancakes
Last sunday, before meeting the guys for transformers, the boy and I thought of making a trip to Prinsep street for pancakes! Unfortunately Strictly Pancakes was closed from 3-6pm, so we had an early dinner at Mad Jack just opposite, before returning to satisfy my pancake cravings! I was so excited as I’ve been wanting to try Strictly Pancakes for the longest time but haven’t...

last weekend
Last saturday, met the girls at Raffles Hotel to indulge in dimsum at Royal China. I was terribly late and couldn’t get a cab for like half an hour! It was soo bad, almost didn’t wanna turn up already because I was so pissed off. Didn’t think the highly raved dimsum was that great. Or perhaps, the bar has been set really high after visiting HK where I could easily...
